Description
The Shure SBC240 is a two-bay networked docking charger for Shure Axient Digital: it charges any combination of 2 SB910 or SB920 batteries or ADX1, ADX2 and ADX2FD transmitters, reaching 50% in 1 hour and full charge in 3 hours. This is the SBC240 without a power supply, the version for adding a charger to a chain: up to 4 SBC240 units link together and share one PS60 power supply and one Ethernet connection.
Plug it into a network and Shure Wireless Workbench shows each docked battery's charge, time to full, health, cycle count and temperature. If this is your first SBC240, choose the SBC240-US, which includes the PS60 power supply.

Does the SBC240 come with a power supply?
No, this is the SBC240 version without one. It is meant to link onto another SBC240 that already has the PS60 supply, since up to 4 chargers share one supply. For a standalone charger, get the SBC240-US with PS60 power supply.
Can it charge transmitters with the battery still inside?
Yes. ADX1, ADX2 and ADX2FD transmitters dock directly with their Shure rechargeable battery installed. Switch transmitters off before docking, because a transmitter left on powers up when fully charged. Do not dock transmitters running AA batteries.
What does storage mode do?
It charges or discharges each battery to 3.8 volts, the ideal level for storage longer than 8 days. Hold the storage button for 3 seconds to start it; the power LED turns red. Shure recommends running it once every 6 months for batteries kept in storage.
Can I monitor batteries remotely?
Yes. Over Ethernet, Wireless Workbench shows charge as a percentage with time to full, health compared with a new battery, cycle count, temperature and any charging errors.
Which charger do I need for other Shure systems?
The SBC240 is for Axient Digital ADX batteries and transmitters only. The SBC450 charges 4 ULX-D ULXD6 or ULXD8 boundary and gooseneck transmitters, and the SBC441US is a four-bay charger for ADXR receivers and SB910 batteries. Spare batteries: SB910 for the ADX1 bodypack, SB920 for ADX2 and ADX2FD handhelds.
