Description
The Teenage Engineering TX-6 (TX6) is a battery-powered six-channel stereo mixer and multichannel USB audio interface that fits in your hand. It mixes 6 stereo inputs, records 12 channels into a computer or 48 kHz 24-bit WAV files straight to a USB drive, adds a built-in synth and sequencer, a tuner and effects, and runs about 8 hours per charge. This listing is the aluminum finish.
Each channel has a 3-band EQ and a compressor, there are 8 built-in effects, and the knob layout is configurable. It sends tempo sync from its outputs, connects to iPhone and iPad (MFi), and talks MIDI over USB-C and Bluetooth LE.

Can the TX-6 record without a computer?
Yes. It records and plays back 48 kHz 24-bit stereo WAV files on a USB drive, such as a flash drive or powered SSD. The drive must be FAT formatted with a master boot record.
How many channels can I record into a computer?
Up to 12 channels of multitrack audio over USB-C, at 24-bit / 48 kHz.
Does the TX-6 work with an iPhone or iPad?
Yes. It is MFi compatible, so it connects to iOS devices as an audio interface.
TX-6 or K.O. Sidekick?
The TX-6 mixes six stereo channels, records 12 channels to a computer or WAV files to a USB drive, has a built-in synth and sequencer, and runs about 8 hours on its rechargeable battery. The EP-136 K.O. Sidekick mixes two stereo channels plus aux, connects at 8 in / 4 out and runs on AAA batteries. Pick the TX-6 for a bigger setup, the K.O. Sidekick for two devices.
What goes with the TX-6?
It is part of Teenage Engineering's field system with the OP-1 Field and the TP-7 field recorder. The Decksaver TX-6 cover protects the knobs and faders.
